Mrs. Nancy Shannon, mother of Dr. Shannon, died at the residence of her son in Shannondale. Aged 83 years. She was buried in Parkersburg.
Note: She is buried in the Parkersburg Cemetery born Nov 18, 1797 died June 29, 1880 wife of David A. Shannon whom she married 23 December 1819 in Washington Kentucky. They were the parents of William; Joseph Jordon (doctor mentioned above); Lucy; George; and Ignatius Fayette at least, possibly more. -- jbz
